The Hide can detect when someone uses dark magic, alerting the Werewolf and sometimes triggering a transformation. In this case, dark magic means either the direct harming of a person by magical means or the use of an external (not self) sacrifice in the form of life, blood, or other more minor harms in order to power a spell.
